Advanced Diabetes 2013, Abu Dhabi

The Diabetes Conference is set to be an annual programme providing essential training for all trainees and an update for established endocrinologists.
The two-day sessions comprise updates in the guidelines, treatment and management, as well as discuss the challenges and lifestyle choices.
 

Who should attend 

  • All medical trainees with an interest in  diabetes
  • Diabetes and endocrinology related specialists
  • Established endocrinologists who need an update in diabetes management.
  • Primary care physicians and specialists who look after patients with diabetes.

 Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

    -Have a working knowledge of the different guidelines in diabetes around the world
    -Recognise differences in diabetes problems around the world with a particular emphasis on the GCC regions
    -Have managment plans for microvascular and macrovascular complications of diabetes
    -Recognise difficulties in the acute problems of glycaemic care
    -Understand the use of different and new drugs
    -Have an update in the non drug treatments in diabetes
    -Be aware of the newer technologies available to help patients with diabetes.
